The difference between acetate sheet and celluloid

Today's hand-made myopia frames, sunglasses frames, and sunglasses frames are mainly made of two materials, one is celluloid, and the other is acetate spectacle sheet.

So far, celluloid has been invented for more than 150 years. Because of its texture, malleability, comfort and unique fragrance, it is often used to make spectacle frames such as myopia frames, sunglasses frames, sunglasses frames and other materials.

Much better than spectacle frame materials. The most prominent shortcoming is that it is flammable and unsuitable for large-scale, industrialized and mechanized production requirements for a long time. Therefore, only a few hand-made glasses manufacturing workshops are currently in production. Unlike the acetate sheet, almost most European and American countries are using acetate sheet spectacle frames.

There are many reasons not to use celluloid:

1. Celluloid is not resistant to corrosion. If it targets the corrosion of human sweat and cosmetics, there is no basis. This corrosion resistance problem can be greatly reduced by flushing with water every day. If you are too lazy to wash, you can also polish away the corroded parts.

2. The lower ignition point is a specially designated kind of fire, and high-speed rotating drill bits, chip cutters, etc. can be used to "accidentally smoke" only when in contact with cigarette butts for a long time. Therefore, as long as you wear it, you don't have to worry about open flames.

3. Celluloid has a good texture (not only surface finish), good flexibility, high ductility (large adjustment range, better fit with the skin), better touch and durability than metal plates. The disadvantage is that the production batch is limited, the labor cost is high, and the price is high.

4. As far as the wearing experience is concerned, if you pursue the thick style of the black frame, you must bear a relatively heavy weight. Certain styles of metal spectacle frames have both celluloid texture and lightness, but whether they meet the aesthetic requirements of customers is a question. Another reason is that the size of the frames sold in the store has not been adjusted. You need to be adjusted by a professional using a baking lamp to get the most comfortable wearing feeling. Usually, this debugging process takes about 20 minutes.
